The Desert
Aire airport is located in the south west corner of
bountiful Grant County Washington.
The airport is within the township of Desert Aire,
which is about 4 miles south of the city of Mattawa on
State Highway 243.
The Desert
Aire Owners Association owns the airport, but leases the
airport to Grant County Airport District #1.
GCAD#1 holds public meetings every second
Thursday of the month at 4:00PM in the Desert Aire
office complex lower floor.
There are camping facilities located 4 blocks from the
airport in the marina area.
A restaurant is available for fly-in crew and
passengers near the entrance to Desert Aire from highway
243.
